Incredible Ontario Summer Games for Hurricanes!

Amazing performances by Hurricanes on the beach and indoors! Mikayla McBain and Rachael Capasso battled for Bronze in 15U Beach, with Capasso and her partner coming out on top. Indoor Region 3 Red, featuring Paige Hagan, Peyton Punch and Anna Wilson, took the bronze medal. Silver was won by Region 3 Black, with Mackenna Knox and Paige Brunt. But the Gold medal went to Region 5 Black, with our own Reese Cholette! Great job representing the club, girls!

The club received a letter from the OVA High Performance Director LP Mainville, and the Executive Director Jo-Anne Ljubicic, recognizing the great work we have done with our athletes over the past year.

“Even though a lot of people and factors are involved in such an achievement, something special needs to be said about your contribution as OVA clubs and coaches. You are the ones who provide the primary training environment for Ontario Volleyball players and without you, successes like these would not be possible. You have supported your athletes throughout the year and have enabled them to push their limits, get out of their comfort zone, learn and perform at a level deserving of a spot on a national team program.”

29 OVA athletes were selected from 56 available spots (28 female/28 male) across the country and HRVC athletes earned 5 of the available 28 female spots.  Click here for the full roster
