A high school teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board, Michael has been with the Halton Hurricanes from the very start. As a 13 year coaching veteran, Michael has coached in all divisions of the competitive program, helped with training camps and clinics, and has coached both boys and girls at the high school level. He assisted with the Region 3 Boys team at the Ontario Winter games winning silver. He also assisted last year’s 14U Hurricanes team that won Ontario championships.
His teams always display intensity, great fundamental skills, and a drive to compete at the highest level. He is particularly adept at coaching at the 15U age level. He specializes in providing technical feedback for serve receive, defense, and attacking.
Outside of the gym, Peter makes use of technology through Click & Scout/DataVideo scouting software and video skill analysis to provide his athletes with a more detailed understanding of the sport. As well, has experience with the university recruiting process and is able to offer guidance to athletes who wish to play volleyball at the post-secondary level. As an avid learner, he is constantly seeking new ways to become a better coach and to provide great experiences for his athletes. Peter is a trained NCCP Level 2 coach.
