To be eligible to participate in Ontario Beach Championships, each partner must participate in a minimum of 3 events (at least one must be an OVA event; the remaining 2 may be OVA sanctioned Satellite events).
NOTE: If the participants choose to participate in both Youth and Adult divisions, then they must compete in a total of 3 events. The Ontario Championships do NOT count as one of the three events.

2018 OVA BEACH HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAMMING
The main objective of this program is to introduce athletes to a high-performance training environment. The program is a camps based program consisting of 4-5 camps that will run throughout the summer. Athletes will leave this program with direct exposure to Full-time Training Centre training methods, as well as the various sport science and sport medicine disciplines within an integrated support team.
2. FULL-TIME TRAINING GROUPS
The main objective of the Ontario Full-time Beach Training Groups is to introduce and/or prepare athletes for high-performance training in a full-time training environment. Athletes training with a full-time training group are also provided the support of an integrated support team through monitored sport science services. The Ontario Full-time Training Groups are the result of a partnership between the Ontario Volleyball Association, Canadian Sport Institute – Ontario, and Volleyball Canada.
Ontario BANTAM Full-time Training Group
Eligibility: Athletes born in 2001, 2002, and later
New to the 2016 beach season will be a Bantam Full-time Training Group, created to service the growing number of Train-to-Train athletes looking to develop as beach volleyball players. This group is ideal for athletes who don’t have access to beach volleyball training within their club and who are interested in being exposed to the preparation needed for current and future U17, U19 World Championship objectives. Eight to twelve athletes will be identified for the Ontario Full-time Training Group. The main objective of this group is to expose and introduce athletes to a shared integrated support team with the National program in order to contribute to the seamless development and the future potential transition for athletes on to the National Team.

Ontario JUNIOR Full-time Training Group
Eligibility: Athletes can be born 1999, 2000, and younger.
This group services the Learn-to-Compete developmental level and is ideal for athletes who are interested in being exposed to the training and preparation needed for current and future U17, U19, U21 World Championship objectives. Eight to twelve athletes will be identified for the Ontario Full-time Training Group. The main objective of this group is to expose and introduce athletes to a shared integrated support team with the National program in order to contribute to the seamless development and potential transition for athletes on to the National Team.

3. TALL MAPLES PROGRAM – Beach Volleyball
Eligibility: Girls 6’0 and taller – Boys 6’5 and taller
The Tall Maples program is geared towards identifying athletes with above average physical attributes who could have a long-term impact on the provincial and national high performance programs. Athletes accepted in this program will have an opportunity to work with international level coaches and become a dedicated part of Ontario Fulltime Training Groups in order to maximize and accelerate their development. Athletes can apply for the Tall Maples program at the Team Ontario booth during indoor provincial championships at RIM Park.
